Our mission is to honor God by reaching a generation that has rejected the gospel of Jesus Christ; and training believers to live a lifestyle of surrender that both defends and confirms the gospel message; while establishing a gathering of believers whose reason for fellowship is a passion for His presence, commitment to obedience, ambition to be made like Him; and to develop an appetite for eternity. Why have we chosen this as our mission?
- Reaching a generation that has rejected …
One of the core presuppositions of the Postmodern mindset is that traditional/fundamental ideas and values are too antique or restrictive to be functional in a intellectually, and socially progressive society. We, as a ministry, see a unique opportunity to reintroduce the eternality of the Word of God, underscoring its perpetual relevance regardless of the generation, and regardless of the subject matter. The Church does not need to; nor can it “make” the Word of God relevant through delivery, style and program changes, but the Church can and should make the heart of God readily visible for comparison with the following areas of common secular interest:
* Politics * Foreign affairs * Personal development
* World Religion * Environmental concerns * Career
* Economics * Entertainment & leisure * Science
* Technology
- Training believers to live…
We clearly see that The Church has allowed itself to be redefined as a mere community service venue who’s value and visibility are limited to denominational alignment; agreement with social agendas; and geographic meeting locations, and even more painfully, Jesus is reduced to the position of institutional mascot. As a result, we are convinced that the burden of proof rest upon the Church as it pertains to the reality of Jesus Christ as the Savior King and the Church as His “called out” ones. The confirmation and defense of these eternal truths will come as a result of Christians being trained to live "right" vs. simply to comply with religious protocol.
- Establishing a gathering of believers...
The culture in which we live majors heavily in egocentric pursuits, even to the extent that authentic and well-meaning followers of Christ can find themselves trying to leverage their relationship with Christ primarily for personal interest. This condition calls for a revival of congregational worship where God is once again the primary audience and our love of His presence is so concentrated that the effects of this life are counted as dung and the Lord Himself is considered our reward.
